April 6 sighting
Charleston Missouri
Mrs. Dorothy Thompson of Cleveland St. reports the sighting of a UFO in Charleston last Friday night.
Mrs. Thompson said she was getting ready to watch teh 8 o'clock movie. Her TV went off, then came back on and she saw a bright flash in her kitchen and looked out her back door and the object was treetop high.
She said it was egg shaped, the top red and the bottom solid white. The lights did not flash, and it made no sound. The light flashed through her kitchen and traveled through the house.
Mrs. Thompson said she last saw it treetop high when it moved across Cleveland St. back of the Willis Forbey home, and it traveled over the field back of his house. The whole incident lasted about three minutes, she said.
She ran in and called her neighbor but she wasn't at home. She called the radio station Monday morning and they reported that they had had several calls about it. Mrs. Thompson said the object could not have been a plane as it was too low, and the lights were not blinking but steady.
