Dear Sir;
This e-mail is basically a shot in the dark, so I hope I have the right person as I contact you.
I am seeking to locate a person who was a former Air National Guard Flight Controller that was mentioned in a newspaper article back in 1973. The newspaper was The Columbus Citizen Journal, dated October 17, 1973.
The article is in regards to a UFO landing in a field near Hall Road, and a soybean field had been examined afterward where indications of an aircraft landing was apparent.
I seek to get some additional information on this incident, hoping to learn of any photographs of this field that may have been taken, and whatever came of this story? If the correct person, have you been asked to do a follow-up on it in the last 21-years since this newspaper article? Has this event ever been explained, and has anything happened since?
Could you please let me know if I have the correct person?
Sincerely,
KENNY YOUNG

Good Morning Kenny......nice shot....you have the man you're looking for....funny thing....just last night I was watching a show on The Learning Channel about UFO's.
Yes there were many photos taken of this area.....in fact one of Dr. J. Allen Hynek's associates came down and did an extensive interview with me and was convinced that I had a close encounter of the 2nd kind. I met Dr. Hynek a few days later and he too had looked over the evidence and felt that it was a close encounter of the 2nd kind. As far as what ever came of it..well like so many other UFO encounters it was published...then it faded away....much like the UFO itself.
I think that Dr. Hynek's associate described the indentation of the soy-bean field best as to resemble the shape of a chemistry beaker on its side...it measured about 30 ft long and was about 20 ft wide at the base...I don't remember what the measurement was at the smaller end....I would say that the matted area was more "flatten" than of the crop circle type "circle" pattern.
As far as photos, this is an unusal point here....all of the photos where taken.....along with samples of the field...including soy-beans... soil.... radiation readings....survey charts etc...by Dr. Hynek's associate...I never received any of my personal photos back. About the only photo I have is a faded newspaper story with me kneeling in the field next to the area....sorry...but I can't help you with this request.

No

No...it has never been explained other than it being refered to a close encounter of the 2nd type and nothing else has ever happened regarding this event.

Although the identity of the witness is listed in the newspaper article, it is not listed in this text, which has been edited to delete any such reference |
