The
Great UFO Wave:
October, 1973
ISUR Case File #100019
At approximately 8:30 pm, on September 20, 1973, three men observed an orange sphere "about the size of the moon" floating high over the ridge line. The three men were positioned on an opposing ridge several miles away. The huge orange sphere was observed to float in front of the mountain, to move up over it and to disappear behind the ridge. This behavior was repeated several times. At one point the orange sphere emmitted a beam of light, the color of sunlight, which illuminated the side of the mountain "just as brightly as the sun would on a clear day." According to the witnesses the beam would would widen and then narrow. All three witnesses reported having never seen anything like it before.
