Lying down his blanket
On the hot summers beach
It is a time to reflect
A place in his mind to reach
Watching the young couples
walking hand in hand
On the waters edge
Leaving memories in the sand
He can hear her voice
In the waves on the shore
But she is not calling out
His name any more.
He feels her touch
In the cool ocean breeze
His emotions take over
As he falls to his knees.
Remebering times with her
Together on the beach as one.
Now he is all alone
