D JGPP - Compilers, etc. D JGPP is a complete 32-bit C/C++ development system for Intel 80386 (and higher) PCs running DOS. It includes ports of many GNU development utilities. The development tools require a 80386 or newer computer to run, as do the programs they produce.

NIH Image Home Page NIH Image is a public domain image processing and analysis program for the Macintosh. It was developed at the Research Services Branch (RSB) of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
A free PC version of Image, called Scion Image for Windows, is available from Scion Corporation. There is also Image/J, a Java program inspired by Image that "runs anywhere".

Paintlib - C++ Class Library paintlib is a library of image file decoders. It is useable from C++-programs as a portable C++ class library and from any Windows-based language as ActiveX control. GNU Emacs for Windows NT and Windows 95/ME/NT/XP and 2000 This port is known to run on all versions of Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. MIME and Emacs In this multimedia hungry world (country?) of ours, people have begun to send MIME encoded mail. I find it to be rather annoying, if I wanted pictures I would use Emacs-W3 or Nutscape to find them.
