Comments :

Soulfly is an album which features a lot of atmospheres and states of emotion. It's really groovy, with lot of percussions. Max and his new musicians explored different music and sound spheres, but the most performed category of music is Metal. This records is open to new cultures and influences, like reggae (Prejudice), Hip-Hop (Bleed), emotional Soul-Rock (Soulfly). Maybe the biggest problem with this record will be for some fans, the fact that it sounds like Roots, cause it's Max voice, Max guitar, Ross Robinson sound, and the same

studio (maybe a fault?). But tons of people loved Roots for these sounds and this "breaking the barriers" Attitude, that made this record being a success. I agree with guys who think that there are here, some deja-vu in old and recent Sepultura stuff, but Max can't erase in

one year, what he made and smelt for 15 years, and that's the same thing about fans. In this album, five songs could be taken to put on Roots : Eye For An Eye, No Hope = No Fear, Bleed, Tribe, & Fire. The other 10 songs from Soulfly, got something different, something more, showing that Max reached another musical stage, opening some new ways, like all Sepultura albums done by the past, and that's why we are these fucking fans we are.
