Cut-Scenes

                When I skipped school to go see the primer of 'Alien Resurrection', I had asked the manager-who was awaiting at the entrance, what the running time of the film was. He said 119 minutes. Now nobody seems to realize this. The video, laserdisc, and dvd releases are all 108 minutes. I can defiantly tell because of the scenes cut. I will describe them here for you. I know that not many people will believe me, but I will be getting some pictures of these scenes sometime in the future to prove all of the non-believers wrong.

• When Gedimen tells one of the scientists to sew Ripley up he is about to sew her up when Ripley wakes up and breaks his arm.
• The next cut-scene is when Ripley and Gedimen are sitting at the table and eating. Ripley  asks Gedimen how they got her, and while he is explaining their are several mixed cuts of scientists down on Fiorina 161 gathering blood samples from where she died.
• When Wren comes in and he says, "How do you feel about that?" She responds by saying, "Its your funeral not mine."
• The next cut-scene is after the 'alien' hits the button with its jaw, the soldier's death scene is much longer.
• The last cut-scene that I know of is the ending. In one of the Cinescape Magazine Issues, the missing ending is explained. Here is the magazine says: "The original intentions of getting Ripley   and the crew of the 'Betty' to Earth can still be seen despite the clunky ending that graces the final print of Alien: Resurrection. The original ending drew the ship to Earth, where it crashed into a huge waterpipe off the coast with 'the newborn' alien in tow. Ripley and Call, now in a Terran city, stumble upon a path of bloated bodies-bystanders unfortunate enough to encounter the Newborn (and its phallic appendage, which drains victims of bodily fluids and implants alien embryos). Realizing the threat to human civilization, Ripley confronts the creature. The ensuing battle climaxes with the Newborn's death: It is dismembered by a sanitizing laser as it struggles to reach Ripley, who climbs to safety above the killing beam."
