These are large cats with furry wings. Most of them have sandy gray or black fur, but some striped and spotted species do exist. They are usually about six to seven feet long and have wingspans of over fifteen feet. Greater winged cats live in hilly grasslands. They mate once per year and raise their offspring for about two years. They have a lifespan of up to fifty years. They can be trained as mounts, although its difficult (DC 30). A properly trained winged cat, though, is extremely loyal and will only accept its trainer as rider.
COMBAT
Pounce (Ex): If the winged
cat leaps (or lands) upon its target during the first combat
round, it can make a full attack even if it has already moved.
Improved Grab (Ex): If the cat is sucessful with its bite attack, it can rake.
Rake (Ex): If the winged cat can get a hold, it can make two rake attacks at 1d3+5 damage each. If the cat pounces on an opponent, it can also rake.
