X-treme Violin

A graduate of Queensland Conservatorium, with a Bachelor of Music in classical violin, Shenzo is an accomplished & extremely versatile performer & composer.

Awarded a professional development grant to attend the ‘Jazz in July’ course at the University of Massachusetts, USA, Shenzo has immersed himself in an extraordinary range of projects and styles. He has toured Australia with Natalie Cole, performed with Smokey Dawson, the Vulcana Women’s Circus, Keith Casiey, the Kelway String Quartet (for Musica Viva), & played support for The Whitlams & Savage Garden. Shenzo has composed music for well-known Australian Band ‘George’, the 2000 Brisbane festival theatre production ‘Secret death of Salvador Dali’, & the 2000 Adelaide Fringe festival, and was commissioned to perform a world premier Concerto with a 35 piece amplified orchestra.
Whether playing free-jazz, Grappelli-style swing, tango, flamenco, or upside down in his high-wire stunt-violin trapeze show, Shenzo is brilliantly promising & charismatic young performer.
