Founder and main songwriter of the band, Yaron’s performance background was music-theatre and cabaret, until the mid-80’s, when he formed experimental & eclectic Perth 8-piece After The Fall (with Oboe, Cello, Violin, Flute etc). Graduating from The WA Academy Of Performing Arts, with a major in Arts Management, Yaron left Perth for Sydney 6 years ago, and founded Monsieur Camembert in 1998. He presents The Gypsy Hot Club, a weekly radio show on Eastside Radio 89.7fm, primarily devoted to Gypsy & Klezmer music.
