I Miss You


When I see a couple walking
hand in hand...


When I watch the sunset over a
distant horizon...


When the weather is rainy and
I sit next to the window...


When I hear a funny joke and have
the urge to turn and share it...


When I see those "phone" commercials
and remember how we were...


When it's 3 a.m. and I want to talk
but I can't call anymore...


When someone asks me.."what's new?"....
and I want to tell them you're gone.


When I have the weekend free and wonder
what to do with it...


When I smile at the rainbow that
gleams in the sky...


When I enjoy the simpliest of life's
small pleasures...


I miss you.

I hope you're doing well,

I hope happiness has found you.


I cannot believe that the future holds
no contact for you and I.
Someday
Somewhere


In another place
There will be another time to walk
on the beach.
To laugh at the sun.
To ride to whereever we want.
And to hold hands and enjoy what was.
Dedicated and meant with love for lost opportunities and lifetimes.
