Welcome to The Weather Signpost Store!

Someone once said to me that I had more weather books than the Singapore National Libraries. Maybe that's true; I don't know. But I believe that if one wants to learn all about the weather (or anything else for that matter) one should get off the Internet and find texts to study!

Here's one for the coffee table: Storm Chaser: In Persuit of Untamed Skies by Warren Faidley

The most beautiful photos I've ever seen. Professional storm chaser Warren Faidley tells a wonderful heart-warming tale mixed with exciting storm encounters.

A handy guide to oberving weather: The National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Weather by David Ludlum

Although this field guide was probably aimed at North American weather observers, it will serve it's same purpose in Singapore as well. Lots of good photos, no-nonsense writing and has a handy format. Bring it wherever you go.

Twister: The Science of Tornadoes and the Making of an Adventure Movie by Keay Davidson

Learn all about storm chasers and the science of tornadoes. If you've been a tornado junkie like me, you will recognize many names in this book. The book also includes snippets of the making of Twister. (But if you really, really want to go >chasing, go to your library!

Braving the Elements: The Stormy History of North American Weather by David Laskin

I just loved this book. It was hard to put down! A good look at the history of weather forecasting in America and accounts of encounters with atmospheric violence.

I have yet to read these books.... (looks really good to me...)

Eye of the Storm: Inside the World's Deadliest Hurricanes, Tornadoes, and Blizzards by Jeffrey O. Rosenfeld
