The Mohawk Valley Ghost Hunters Society
is an organization who scientifically, seek out paranormal activity associated with ghosts.
Based in The Mohawk Valley in Central NY State, the atmosphere is rich with
ghostly lore, of long past wars.

WHAT WE DO
For starters,the ghost hunters work on a scientific basis. Different types of equipment is used while
doing an investigation. There are many factors that one must know before going on an actual hunt or
investigation. There is a difference between a hunt and an investigation. A hunt is where people
go out to various locations and look for ghosts. An investigation is where you go to a location that is
already haunted and set up equipment, to search for results.

BEST TIMES TO INVESTIGATE
Some may say this is a myth , but upon further investigations,most groups will tell you
that ghost hunting is better on a full moon,during geo - magnetic storms and during an eclipse.
WHY ? Well there appears to be more energy in the atmosphere at the time of these events.
Ghosts use this energy to build up there own.This may also explain why people get drained
while doing a hunt . Humans have a natural magnetic field, and ghosts appear to be made up of

magnetic fields also.

We could go on about all the basics, that deal with ghost hunting, but if you have made it here,
we are sure that you have seen other ghost hunting websites, so to make sure you aren't bored, rereading
the same stuff over & over we will discuss more on our group and what we do.
How do ghost hunters know where to go to find ghosts??? Our group gets phone calls from
various people, claiming that a residence or business may be haunted. We will then talk over the phone, or
actually meet the people first. From there we set a date to go and investigate. Sometimes we have to r
return numerous times, to get some results. Patience is must for anyone that wishes to hunt ghosts.
We then decide which room in the establishment,is a main area for us to keep an eye on monitors. We
record any unusual happenings and document times, for our records & for the people that called us.
After a hunt is over, we then combine our documents and findings and turn over pictures and information
to the people, within a week or so.

HOW CAN WE HELP
We are an organization, that is here to learn more about paranormal activities. We are more than
willing to answer any questions you may have. Ghost hunting should not be a game of competition.
It should be various groups coming together with their own information and ideas, and coming to
conclusions. There are 2 sides to ghost hunting. One is a scientific approach, and the other a metaphysical.
Some groups are lucky enough to have both combined. Either way if you do need an investigation done, you
must check out each group you contact and decide for yourself, which route you want to go. Sometimes you may
may choose both routes. You may also
want to know if the group you choose, is confidential. Many people do not want any of their issues
broadcasted. Our group believes100% in confidentiality.

WHERE DO WE DO GHOST HUNTS IN NY ?
We are based between Albany & Syracuse in the Utica / Rome area. We do try to keep our hunts within a 50
mile radious, however we have traveled further.
