VOCATIONAL TRAINING UNITS

The Vocational Training units offer training in the fields of Printing, Sewing and Sandal Wood paste garlands.

The vocational training is given to the inmates of the Seva Sangam. The income derived from procuring orders from the public help to augument the financial status.

The speciality of the vocational Training Unit is the making of Sandal Wood Paste Garlands. They are made from Sandal Wood, a very fragnant tree found in India. Sandal wood paste is used in Hindu prayer rituals and auspicious occasions. A paste is made from the wood and rolled into many shapes and made into a garland. They make excellent gifts and they are long lasting that they may be used as souveniers.

Sewing is also taught to the students
