Oconee vs. Madison County
Oconee beat Madison County 42-12, to bounce back nicely from that tough loss to Stephens County. The stadium was quiet and the players played with little emotion, but still got the job done. The Warriors scored on their first 2 possitions. The Warriors went into halftime leading 28-0. The Warrior defense was dominant allowing Madison County to 38 yards of total offense in the 1st half. The Red Radiers never crossed the Warrior 50 yard line in the 1st 3 quarters. After falling behind 35-0, Madison County put big Paul Collins, a lineman, at fullback. He helped to Radiers to muster 2 TDs on Warrior subs. Luke Bishop, Jerry Willoughby, and Chip Moore all scored TDs in the Warriors win. Oconee improves to 7-1, and travels to Jackson County, who lost to Madison County 30-7, next Friday.
