Chapter 3: A Problem at Work.Location: Planet Earth
Town: Raderie, Somewhere in America
Time: 1999.02.10.23.35.45The early morning sunlight breaks through the curtains and splashes across a sleeping girl's face, the alarm clock suddenly rings.. Minmei: Arrhh.. another hour!! *as she slams a small mallet on to the clock*
Five minutes later a rigged mallet drops down from the ceiling and hits the sleeping girl in the head. Minmei: Owww!!!!
She drags herself out of bed yawning and looks at the clock.. Minmei: ARRRHHHHhhh.. I'm going to be late for work!! I knew I shouldn't have played XenoClothes for 6 hours straight last night!!
Minmei quickly changes into her work uniform and heads down stairs and rushes out of her house. Snitz: Good morning Minmei.
Minmei: no time to talk, I'm late.
Snitz: Ok, see you later then.. heh..heh..
Minmei: *later? what does he mean by that? and what was that grin for?*
Minmei reaches her work place at the happy hamburger. Minmei: *I hope today goes by quickly, I can't stand these annoying kids*
Owner: Hey Minmei, you're just on time.. if you're late again you know what happens??
Minmei: yeah you're going to fire me.
Owner: You wish, I'm going to make you serve at all the kid parties here.. understand!
Minmei: *Why do I stay at this job? Apart from the fact that I need the money so I can buy new clothes and this is the only job that my parents said I could get because its on the weekends..hmm.. life sucks!!*
Owner: Hey Minmei, do you know what happens if you daydream on the job?
Minmei: Yeah you're going to make me serve at all the kid parties.
Owner: Now you're catching on.
So Minmei does her job at the Happy Hamburger trying not to daydream. Customer: Excuse me, but can I have a Happy Hamburger and a Laughing Coke.
Minmei: *with a cheerful smile* Of course, would you like Smile fries with that?
Customer: Nah, I'm cutting down on fappiness.
Minmei: Here you go, have a happy meal.
Minmei continues serving customers for 4 hours. Minmei: *lucky I'm only part-time*
Minmei finishes her week end work and walks home, she notice Ari trying to find something in her bag. Minmei: Hi Ari!
Ari: Hi Minmei! Want to go down to the pier to catch some fish.
Minmei: Uhmm.. no thanks, I've just finished work and I'm tired. Maybe next time, bye.
Ari: Ok, I'll see you at school on Monday.
As Ari walks off to the pier, Minmei walks home tired. Minmei sees Snitz lying on his back watching the sky. Minmei: Hey, what are you doing?
Snitz: just relaxing.
Minmei: Hey what was that grin for this morning?
Snitz: What grin?
Minmei: *Hits him across the head with her small mallet*
Snitz: Oww.. it didn't mean anything.. can't I grin at the happy hamburgeress.. heh..heh..
Minmei: *hits him again and walks off* Hmmpf...
Snitz: Owww...
Minmei: you know Ari is down at the pier. *trying to get rid of him*
Snitz: Really? Err.. I better check up on her incase she needs help.
Minmei: Yeah, right..
Minmei watches Snitz run off into the distance and then walks in to the house.
