Chapter 6: Not much magic to talk about

The silence within the woods is broken by a shout and clashing of metal. Ryuuen is battling a six foot monster with four eyes and has backed into a dead end. She wonders where Kuren and C.Adia are, a claw just misses her head as her thoughts are rushed to the situation at hand.

Ryuuen: "Come on you four eyed idiot!" *seeing an opening she hits home her blade into the monsters heart*

The monster gurgles out blood and tries a last swing at Ryuuen but her training as a knight saves her from being a foot shorter. Ryuuen watches as the monster dies, then gathers up her sword from the monsters chest and heads back the way she came.

Kuren: "Geez, I hope Ryuuen is ok." *As he pulled out his sword from the crab like creature's head*

C.Adia: "I know Ryuuen, she'll be fine." *resting on a fallen down log, his powers drained for awhile*

A rustle from the trees is heard and Kuren turns ready for another monster.

Ryuuen: "Hey calm down, it's just me. Looks like everyone is fine."

Kuren: "Where'd those monster come from anyway?"

C.Adia: "We must be getting closer to the source."

Ryuuen: "I wish we had our horses." *taking off her armour*

Kuren: "We had to let them go, it was a better chance for them to survive if we didn't get in their way." *taking off his chestplate*

C.Adia: "Don't worry we'll be getting some help soon." *scratching his head*

Ryuuen: "You mean those four riders? I wonder where they are, they could be dead for all we know and then there's that warrior that's following them." *trying to get rid of the blood on her sword*

Kuren: "Yeah, Snitz.. I remember him, he was Raderie's champion axe man." *drinking some water*

C.Adia: "Don't be too concerned about Snitz, he is just a pawn in a larger game."

Kuren: "I have a feeling that we're the same." *starting a camp fire*

The trio sit around the fire and as their eyes wandered around the clearing, ready for anything that comes in their way.

The clearing seemed to be the only one good enough as AC wandering around the clearing examining the potential of any surprise attacks. Cat was starting a fire while Ari and Minmei were sitting around the fire.

Ari: "You know this sure is easy."

Minmei: "Yeah I know what you mean, it's too easy."

Cat: "I hope we don't come across anything." *sitting back after starting the fire*

AC: "Well if anything comes, we'll be ready for them." *sitting down.

Ari: "I wish we had a magic user with us." *getting some dried meat and bread out of her pack*

Minmei: "Well, we do. Cat know's magic, she's an Elf." *taking the bread from Ari*

Cat: "I only know the basics, nothing really advance." *taking a water bottle from her pack*

AC: "Well, it's better than nothing." *eating some cheese from his pack*

Minmei: "So what kind of magic do you know?" *eating the bread*

Cat: "Well I know how to create fire balls, make flowers grow and make food appear." *scratching her head*

Ari: "well atleast we won't get hungry, worry about the fire dying nor worry about starting a garden." *swallowing some bread*

AC: "Well, its better than nothing." *eating some dried meat*

The group start to talk about life and other things as the night began to fall, then sleep with one by one taking turns staying awake as look out.
