Having grown up in the north, I missed the cold and snow. We now live in Florida. My kids have never seen the snow the weather cooperated fully we had temps in the 20's and about 6" of snow. Being in this house with this view with the whole family together made for an absoulte perfect vacation.

Through the gracious generosity of our freinds we too were able to experience a taste of heaven! It is very hard to face leaving to return to the rat race. It is so easy to feel at peace here. The cabin felt as though we have always lived here, so comfortable and cozy. God willing we'll be back!!

This is our third year at lake apalacia, our second in this cabin, since we keep comming back, we must feel something special here. We bring our white-water canoes and our hiking boots and everyday is an adventure. Your's is the most comfortable and best equipped cottage we have ever rented and we alway's feel right at home.

We have definitely had a rather enjoyable experience while here at Lake Apalachia, it was certainly a gift from God for us to be able to enjoy such a relaxing and peaceful place! Thanks for a wonderful week in the mountains, we enjoyed your cabin very much. I believe we spent most of our time here on the porch enjoying a wonderful view. This family certainly enjoyed relaxing,hiking,swimming, and jig saw puzzles. We found the water falls and it was as beautiful as imagined. We rented a boat on Lake Hiwasse- we couldn't believe the water. Our next visit we hope to come in the winter, our kids have never seen the snow and what a great spot for there 1st experience.

Wow!! This has been the most enjoyable week we have ever had as a family. We brought our two boys,ages 6 & 2, up here not really knowing what to expect, just hoping for R&R and allowing the boys to experience "the mountains". Everything has far exceeded my expectations! The cabin is beautiful, the view is magnificent, and I've never experienced such serenity and yet so much to do at the same time. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Maybe one day we'll be neighbors up here. We're sure thinking about it! We swam, fished,hiked,climbed rocks. What a wonderful time! We'll definitely be back, we might even try the winter experience next time.

We had a great time and did not want to go back home, the view is great and we did alot of cool things. Hopefully we will be able to come back again, we went horseback riding at Coker Creek and checked out the waterfalls off Prospect Rd. We also went to The Fields Of Wood and we recommend the fishing!!!! Like the previous entries said this place is just awesume and we would like to thank you for sharing your home with us.

When asked where would I like to go for our 25th wedding anniversary! The coll dry air of the mountains sounded great, we couldn't have picked a more beautiful spot, walking out to the lakeside decks before even entering the cabin, the view took my breath away. The cabin itself could not be more idealy or beautifully furnished. The kitchen is so well furnished it was a joy to cook. Murphy is quaint and has the essentials. Thank you for this beautiful mountain home and sharing it with us, we feel rested, renewed and in love again!

What a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving, we came up with our two sons 17 and 13. This was just the right way to start the holidays. The boys and there dad went exploring and I got some much needed rest. We are very thankful to have had the oppertunity to stay in your wonderful home. You have a very nice cabin and a fantastic view of the lake!! We are here celebrating our 16th anniversary. We'd love to come back for a week during the summer. We bought a lot up on the high road of Lake Appalachia acres back in the summer of 98. We hope to build a cabin of our own one day and then we'll be neighbors!!

We are here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen a more beautiful place to spend our 2nd honeymoon! The views are breath taking in every direction!! We went to the Lost Sea and it was great!! Then we went out to dinner and had a very nice evening! We also went horseback riding and went to the museum in Murphy! We hiked and had a great time seeing the sights. Your home was very comfortable and cozy and romantic with the sunsets! We sure didn't want to leave this serene setting. Thank you for opening your home and letting us experience this beautiful place, it was very peaceful and relaxing.
