Little Bruce came into the house crying. "Jimmy is not my firend " he said. "Why isn't Jimmy your friend" asked his mom. "Because he won't do what I tell him", said Bruce. Bruce wanted Jimmy to go to the store with him, but Jimmy wouldn't do it. Most of the time Jimmy did what Bruce wanted, and they were good friends. But when Jimmy didn't do what Bruce wanted, then they were not good friends and they didn't get along. The more they did for each other the better friends they were.

That's how we can become better friends with Jesus.- by doing what He wants us to do. What is it that Jesus wants us to do? Why all the things God said in the Bible-

To honor and obey our parents

To help others

Not to say bad things about people

To be honest and not lie

To beleive that Jesus is our Saviour from sin.

When Jesus said these things to His friends, He was talking about loving one another. "Love one another as I have loved you", He said. That's what He meant especially when He said, "You are my friends if you obey me"

Prayer time

Dear Jesus I want to be your friend. Please forgive me for not doing everything you have told me. Help me to do the things that you want me to, so that everybody can see that you and I are freinds. I love you Jesus. Help me to be better in Jesus name, amen.
