I found a rose on my desk one day. Who left it there? I couldn't say. And then, again, once more, a rose! Then another appeared! Who d'you s'pose? Quietly, quickly, discretely she came. And then one day I found out her name. I wanted to thank her, repay her some way For her sweetness and kindness That brightened my day. So here, in this poem I send a love thought To a beautiful girl who Forgets-me-Not. Copyright © 1994 by Gerry Edwards
