The University experienced a sizable expansion during the 1950s and the 60s. As a result a large number of faculty members joined during that period. Thus, there are a number of retirements between 1995 and 2005 requiring the addition of new hands. A concerted effort has been made by the Vice- chancellor to ensure that highly accomplished young persons are identified and attracted to join the University. The University looks forward to welcome the new faculty selected during the recent selections.
