    Alternate Hydro Energy Centre

    Alternate Hydro Energy Centre was set up at the University for research and development in the field of small Hydro Power. The mandate of the centre entails undertaking almost all aspects of small hydro projects investigation, planning preparation of project reports, engineering designs techo-economic analysis, providing technical guidelines for field execution, refurbishment of old power houses. Centre also works on the development of biomass and solar energy systems.
    The centre is housing modern laboratories viz., Hydromechnical Systems, Biomass and Eco-systems Control Systems, Computer Aided Design and Information Systems, Civil Engg .systems and GIS systems.
