Do You Believe In Destiny? MoonKlutz Part 3 moonklutz@hotmail.com Standard disclaimers apply. I’d like to thank everyone who’s sending me his or her fics! I love posting them on my site guys so keep it up! Serena walked into the dinning room with her usual long strides and sat down in one of the high-backed chairs surrounding the table. There were two new unfamiliar faces sitting across from her, a blond girl who looked rather masculine and an aquamarine haired girl, completely the opposite. The waiter sat her food down in front of her and she smiled. "Thanks John! I’ll be sure to get you that day off in February!" He smiled back and left. "I’ve never seen you two before, you must be those new Senshi from the moon, right? My name’s Serena, it’s nice to meet you!" she said flashing them a smile. "I’m Haruka and this is my partner Michiru. It’s nice to meet you too Serena!" Haruka said with uncommon friendliness. She was usually very suspicious of new people, but this girl was just so enigmatic and cheerful! Besides, she might be the Princess. "Have you guys seen the garden yet? It’s incredible; you should check it out. We also have this awesome library and a music room-that should interest you Michiru. Probably Haruka too, by the looks of it." "How did you know we played?" Michiru asked curiously. "Your hands of course! Only a musician would have such well kept hands! See, mine are all worn from riding and work." She said, holding out her hands in comparison to Michiru’s. They weren’t really much different, but the two nodded anyway. The three girls finished their breakfasts with avid conversation. Darien was to say the least, confused. He wandered the rose garden aimlessly thinking about everything that had happened the last few days. Earth was the last planet in the Solar System that the moon seekers were searching so the lost moon princess had to be here. Last week the inner Senshi had arrived but hadn’t got much done, seeing as Lady Beryl and Lord Raeouf had kept them busy with political dinners and such. The ball last night had been strange. He would even go so far to say that he sort of enjoyed kissing Serena, no matter what she thought of him. He had thought that she had enjoyed it to, but she could have just been a very good actress. Then latter that night in the gardens... That was the confusing part. First a marvelous kiss at the ball and then that total rejection by the stream? It was all too strange! Not to mention how Lady Haruka kept giving him threatening looks and Lady Michiru seemed undecided on him. But they were always watching him and Lady Serena. He had seen that at the breakfast table when Serena had made friends with them. How Haruka was watching her intently, searching for something about her… Maybe she was connected to the Moon Princess? After all she was an orphan… And now they were practically ignoring the search for the princess to spend time with Serena! What on Earth was going on? Shouldn’t someone be concerned? Serena raced ahead of Michiru and Haruka, urging her horse to go faster with a few mental commands. She had learned she could do that a few years ago, but only with this horse. It was her favorite horse, a silver-white mare from the moon kingdom, named Serene. ‘Kind of cute, how are names are similar, eh Serene?’ she thought to the horse. ‘Very, Serena. Would you like to go a bit faster? I’m feeling kind of restless today…’ ‘Go right ahead! Be my guest!’ Serene put on one final burst of speed as she passed the goal, a small wooden post, several seconds before Haruka and Michiru made it there. "Did you see that?" Michiru whispered to her partner. "Yeah, she’s telling the horse what to do with her mind!" Haruka whispered back. "But I thought only the…" "That’s right. Only they can do that." "You think she’s her than?" "Who else?" "Great race Serena! I’ve never seen anyone so in tune with her horse! Except maybe Queen Serenity." Michiru praised her. Serena looked interested. "Yeah? Thanks Michiru!" "You know, you have a very nice color of eyes… Can I try something with your hair?" she asked innocently. "My hair?" Serena repeated, fingering a pale blond lock. "Go ahead, but I’ve never been able to get it to do much." They all dismounted and sat down under a large cherry tree. Michiru pulled her mirror and hairbrush out of a sub-space pocket and sat down behind Serena. "Where’d they come from? You don’t have a saddle bag?" she asked curiously. "Sailor Senshi have ‘sub-space’ pockets. It’s like a pocket made out of time that no one else can see." She explained patiently. "Ahh!" Serena nodded understandingly. Michiru pulled Serena’s hair out of its normal ponytail and brushed it out. It was very long and reached all the way to her ankles. Next she separated it into two equal halves, one on either shoulder. She started putting up the first meatball. An image flashed before Serena’s eyes and she blinked. Haruka watched from the side and noted this silently. The first meatball was up. The second was now done. The image flashed before her eyes again. And again, and again, and again. Michiru held the mirror in front of Serena. "What do you see?" Serena paled visibly. The girl in the mirror looked like her, but not like her. There were stings of perfect pearls at the bottom of each meatball. A golden crescent moon adorned her forehead. There were people behind her, who looked somewhat like the Inner Senshi in their fuku’s. A woman stood in front of them. She had long silver hair done up in the same style, the golden crescent moon adorned her forehead as well. Her eyes were a pale silver-gray-blue. Serena told them all this. "What does it mean?" she asked, not moving her eyes from the mirror. "This mirror has the power to tell the truth." Michiru stated simply. She and Haruka got to their feet and helped Serena up. Michiru placed the mirror back in her sub pocket and smiled at Serena as they each took one of her hands. "Our mission was a success." Haruka stated. Michiru nodded. "Sailor Teleport!" The called at the same time and the three girls disappeared. Darien had been watching from a tall tree a few meters away, but he couldn’t hear what they were saying. All he knew was that something important was happening. Then they stood up and… disappeared. Darien’s eyes widened. He had to get back and tell the Queen! "So you followed Ladies Serena, Michiru and Haruka because the latter two were giving you some funny looks, and then they all disappeared after doing Serena’s hair up in meatballs." The Queen recapped. "Yes." Darien said exasperatedly. The Queen clapped her hands together loudly, startling those in the room. "Prepare a grand ball! The Lost Moon Princess is found!" She said cheerfully. The room was immediately filled with chatter and the Queen waved her son out as courtiers and such planed the ball with her. ‘Moon Princess? Serena?’ Darien put his head in his hands and spent the rest of the day wondering about Serena, Michiru, Haruka and what this meant to his mother. After a bright flash of light, Serena found herself in the middle of an exquisite rose garden, where all the flowers were gold, silver and white! Michiru and Haruka sighed happily, it was always good to be home. They walked along the paved path and into a huge castle that sat before them, all white and silver again, and sort of Greek looking with many pillars and fountains. Halfway there another woman met up with them. She had long green hair in a single bun and sparkling, knowledgeable red eyes. "The Queen is waiting, I have told her of your arrival and the return of the Princess." She said in a soft voice. "Princess? Where?" Serena asked, looking around. "Never mind Serena, you’ll see everything soon enough. Right now, the best we can do is not keep the Queen waiting." Haruka chided. "Presenting Lady’s Haruka, Michiru and Serena, AKA The Lost Moon Princess." A guard spoke out loudly. The heavy oak doors opened slowly and Serena gasped… TO BE CONTINUED Now don’t worry, it’s not anything horrible or such. You know I could never write like that. But watch out, because in the next part, The two Queens start making plans… hehehe! I’m so evil! Luvs ya!~ Klutz http://fly.to/moonworld E-Mail moonklutz@hotmail.com
