STAR-CROSSED DESTINIES: EPILOUGE By The One and Only KLUTZ Hope no one kills me for this, but it'll be fun to see everyone tortured for a week.... Serena stretched lazily in bed then turned, looking at the clock. "12:05 p.m.!" she shrieked loudly, jumping out of the bed and grabbing her tooth brush, "Why didn't someone wake me up?!" "Because you get to stay home today and explain yourself Serena." Replied her mother as calmly as she could. "Mom?" Serena questioned, turning slowly to her left. "Serena, why didn't you tell us? We're your family!" Ikluko asked with a sigh. "Uh... Tell you what Mom?" she asked nervously. Ikluko sweat dropped. "Oh please Serena. I came in here to catch you sneaking in from a date, only to find out my daughter has been sneaking off to save the world! I saw that Tuxedo Mask person bring you home last night!" Serena broke down. "Oh Mom, I wanted to tell you, but it's so dangerous, I didn't want you to get hurt! Besides, Luna wouldn't have let me if I tried." "Uh, Serena darling? You do realize that Luna is a cat right?" Ikluko asked nervously placing a hand on her daughter's forehead. Serena shook the sleeping cat gently. "Luna, wake up. I have to ask you something..." The cat put its paws on its head. "Just let me finish this nap Serena..." Luna mumbled. Ikluko gasped. "She just spoke!" Luna's head snapped up and her eyes popped open. "Oh dear..." she said worriedly. "Luna, I need you to explain things to mom. I have to go somewhere." And Serena raced out the door, fully clothed and washed in less than 30 seconds flat. Luna stared at the door. Ikluko stared at Luna. The door stared at Ikluko. "Well." Started Luna. "I guess I'd better start at the beginning..." Serena raced out the door, choking down her breakfast. She didn't need the crutches anymore and Darien wasn't hurt. The silver crystal had taken care of that, and she was grateful for it. As far as anyone knew, they had never been hurt in the first place. Serena ran into the building breathing hard and hit the elevator button for the twentieth floor. A few moments latter she had caught her breath and the elevator doors slid open. She stepped out and jogged around the corner to apartment 1025. Serena didn't bother knocking, she just opened the door and walked in. "Darien?" she called out. She stepped into his bedroom. "Darien are you here?" The bed was mussed, which it had never been before. She pulled the sheets back a bit to reveal a patch of mussed black hair peeking out from under the pillow. "Darien, wake up!" she commanded, whipping the sheets off the bed. "Mmppphhserempghhgrmoon-dango?" came the muffled reply. She grabbed the pillow off his head. "Come on Darien, you're turning into me!" she said laughing as she took the pillow away. Darien opened his eyes and rolled over. "Serena? What are you doing here this early?" he asked sleepily. "It's almost noon Darien." She said matter of factly. "Now get up! I'll make you some breakfast!" she finished and left the room. He stared at the door for a minute in a daze before shaking his head and getting out of bed. While Serena made breakfast, Darien took a shower, cleaned himself up and got dressed. He came out half an hour later wearing a white work shirt, blue jeans and was drying his hair with a towel. "Smells good meatball head. What is it?" he asked sniffing the air. "French toast. Eat up while I finish these dishes!" Came the reply from the kitchen. The food was all set out on the table still warm, and somehow, this just seemed... right. Serena stepped out of the kitchen and sat down across from Darien as he finished drying his hair. "So why did you come over?" he asked curiously. "I had to get out of the house. My mom saw you drop me off last night. She was hopping to catch me sneaking in from a date or something and found out. Luna's explaining everything to her now." "She saw?!" Darien gaped at her calm expression, seemingly caring less. "Apparently so." She said shrugging it off. "So she knows about our past lives?" he asked somewhat surprised. "I'd imagine so by now." She said calmly. Darien finished his food, deep in thought. This morning had been perfect... Incredibly perfect. "Serena," he said after an amount of thinking. "I'm going to go out for awhile. Could you stay here?" "Sure Darien. Where are you going?" "It's a secret." He said slyly. "I'll tell you when I get back ok?" He stood up, kissed her on the top of her head and left. 'What was that all about?' *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Darien paused and stared into the store window deeply. There on a plush velvet cushion sat the most amazing ring... A silver titanium band with a single, huge, sparkling clear diamond in the center. It was beautiful... He smiled to himself in that silly, messed up way that guys have when they're in love. A kind of lopsided grin with a hint of secrecy and pride in his eyes. 'Maybe...' Darien walked back to his apartment nervously. He took a deep breath and opened the door to see Serena sitting on the couch dozing. "Serena?" he called softly. She slowly opened her eyes, turned to see him and smiled. "Darien? Can you tell me where you went now?" she asked curiously. "Yup." He said smiling at her as he crossed the room to the couch. Darien pulled something out of his pocket and looked at it nervously in his hands before placing in behind his back and kneeling in front of her. She looked at him with a puzzled smile, waiting for him to continue. "Serena... You remember everything right? About our pasts, and everything that happened there?" he asked hopefully. The memories had come flooding back to him last night and continued through his dreams after he got home. Serena nodded. "But I don't really see what that has to do with anything..." she said, confused. Darien took the small black velvet box out from behind him and opened it to face Serena. "Serena, I know we never got a chance to get married on the moon, and I know we'll have to wait a long time here, because of the age difference and all, But, I love you! I love you not the princess, not Sailor Moon, but that girl with the funny hairstyle who's always hitting me on the head with donuts, shoes, test papers, the girl who makes me feel like I'm on the top of the world, even if I just got fired. Serena, Will you marry me?" he asked hopefully as tears slid down his cheeks. "Oh Darien, of course I will!" she threw herself into his arms as he slipped the glittering ring onto her finger, and for the first time in centuries, everything was right in the world. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* A few months latter, the scouts fought Beryl. Darien, Serena and the scouts lost all their memories of the times before that. Ami, Rei, Mina and Lita remembered shortly afterwards. Darien remembered a week after that, but unfortunately Serena has not remembered yet.... Is that psycho or what? Well it may not have been as romantic as I promised, but I did cut four pages out of the story line and two out of the epilogue. I'm running short on time, although the e-mails are great! Keep sending them in, I love hearing from you guys! I hope you'll read STAR-CROSSED MEMORIES because it is way more romantic that SCD. (At least I hope so, I haven't read my hand written stuff in a long time...) The fics on my page are to be continued if e-mailed, so tell me what you think!
