The Friendship Stick
Every friendship stick is
made from green wood,
As we are living like the Standing People.
The
curve is fit to the shape of Mother Earth at the top
The living circle and
all things that are connected.
Friendship can grow, just as the tree in the
Forest grows.
The symbolism serves as a personal communication to overcome
barriers
Of language, race and culture.
Green at the bottom is for
Faith in Creator and one another.
It is the first band on the stick
because
Our Faith is the basis of a happy and meaningful life.
The
next four bands represent the races of the world,
red, yellow, black and
white.
They stand close together indicating all
People are equal and
capable of being loyal friends.
The green band above the four races
stands for the Hope
For the future generations to come.
Faith, and Hope
bind all, which is the path to Unity.
The cross shows how four races can come
together
And work for unity and peace.
The smiling face is the result
of friendship based in
Truth, Faith, Unity and Peace.
One eye is brown and
the other is blue to represent all races.
May the smile never be false.
To
be greeted by the smiling face of a friend is
One of the greatest joys we
can experience.
Green and blue bands crown the face
Those represent
the Mother Earth.
Our commitment to her and the friendships
We develop
therein.
The red arrow represents two things together
For apart they
have no meaning.
First being red, it represents the color for the
heart.
The arrow symbol, points to direction.
Together they tell us to
follow our hearts because
When we do, it is usually the right
path.
The yellow band represents the warmth of the sun.
We have this
warmth in Friendships, now,
And to those yet to come in our life.
And
finally, there are two feathers attached to the stick to remind of us
To soar
as the eagle does to reach our highest goals,
And the turkey feather is to
represent our Give-a-ways.
