Second Force
After 1
§ 1¨ opener shows a stronger hand and attempts to continue the relay with 1© which shows 19+ hcp unbalanced or 20+ hcp balanced. Responder can make a second negative with 1ª which shows 0-4 hcp or 0 controls. All other responses to the second force are relays as over 1§ but up two steps, that is 1NT shows hearts; 2§ shows spades; 2¨ shows a balanced hand etc.Third Force
After a second negative 2
§ is a third force (game force) and 2¨ is a third negative but there are no relays, responder bids naturally if not making the negative response.
