Tomorrow Never Dies

Finally, a return to the way Bond used to be. Not that I
didn’t like the last few Bond films, but the old puns,
tongue in cheek humor, and "Bond" style is the best. It
has a certain amount of politcal correctness (you can’t
get away from that in today’s world). It does so without
being obvious about it.

It starts off with Bond in action and ends in action. Of
course along the way Bond finds a competing foreign
agent (if you have to ask male or female your
assignment is to go back and watch all of the previous
Bond films).

He has all of his extraordinary gadgets and his brains. I
love the way he gets trapped in a situation where he is
either out of gadgets or they won’t do him any good and
he improvises to get himself out of trouble. Of course
there are some of those convenient ramps out there for
him to ride up, but you can’t expect a lot of realism in a
Bond film.

Pierce Brosnan is the new Bond, and proves it in this
film. He shows all of the suave and charisma that we
have come to expect from James Bond.

Teri Hatcher is one of the best of the Bond girls. The
only bad part was that her part was too short in the film.
She has all of the sexual appeal a good bond girl needs,
and she even slaps Bond at one point in the film.

The "bad guy" in the film is the enemy you love to hate.
He is the evil counterpart that you always look for in a
Bond film.

Of course there is the one henchman who is never easy
for Bond to get rid of. He is the new "Jaws".

I better quit before I give away too much of the movie.
My overall rating of the movie is excellent. The best
Bond film out of the last five.

Enjoy the movie.
