Here are some bath bomb recipies I got from a ailing list I am on, and thought you could use. Blessed Be, White Wolf

PaganCrafts Bath Bombs

Bath bombs are round balls made of hardened bath salt, which you drop in a bath full of hot water and they fizz away to nothing (hence the name- think of cartoons with those hissing bombs ie bugs bunny etc.) they work just like bath salts. They are great. You usually wrap them in brightly coloured cellophane and tie them and give them as gifts. The bombs themselves can be different colours and smells.

Bath bombs are - for lack of better phrasing - like Scented Alka-seltzers for your bath. Fill the tub & drop one or more (depending on size) into the tub. They fizz & smell great! This particular recipe has a bit of oil, therefore it will leave a bathtub ring. If this is a concern, I can dig around and try to find ones that don't contain oil. I DO know that this one has not failed me yet!! Anyway, here it goes: Trina's Sure-Fire Bath Bombs

Dry Ingredients

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup corn starch

Sieve dry ingredients til you get a nice smooth blend.

Wet Ingredients

2-1/2 T. sunflower or other light oil
3/4 T. water
2 teaspoons essential oil
vegetable or other natural colorant
1/4 teaspoon borax

Combine wet ingredients and borax in jar. Cover tightly and shake vigorously. Drizzle onto dry ingredients and blend thoroughly.

Pack tightly into moulds and slide out. Dry overnight.

*** you can use basically anything for molds. I have used dixie cups, ice cube trays, candy molds & those clear round plastic ornaments (2 halves) that you can get from craft stores. AND I understand that to make a ball shaped one, you should scoop up the mix in two sides of one of these ornaments & mash them together (tightly). I personally can not get them to work, so I make half balls.

BTW, you need to pack "really" tightly. Your thumb should hurt by the time you're done!

Bath Bombs

Dry Phase:

3 parts citric acid (you can get this at a home brewer's supply, or at a chemistry supply house in bulk. Frontier Coop also sells it) to one part sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), crushed botanicals of your choice; mixed together well.

Wet Phase: In a sprayer bottle, put witch hazel (your own homemade is nice, if you can get it, but store bought is fine too), with a small amount of vegetable glycerin, and shake well.

Lighly spritz the dry mixture with the witch hazel solution until like moist sand. Add essential oils of your choice (rose otto, roman chamomile, lavender or sandalwood are especitaly good for the skin) and mix well. Pack very tightly into a plastic mold of your choice (or dixie cups), let stand for 10 minutes, then pop out and let dry over night.

Potential problems:
crumble too easily - add more wet or dry until this rectifies;
fizz in mold - keep pushing back into mold until they firm up;
cracks - add more glycerin to the wet phase.

These take a little bit of playing with and there are many opinions on them as there are people, LOL! Also, if you want a more moisturizing bomb (it will make your tub slippery) add a *very* small amount of sweet almond oil, or cocoa butter or coconut oil, whichever you like. These are fun to make, and I hope that you enjoy them!
