In the aftermath of Election 2000, angry partisan Democrats vowed to do everything in their power to make the Bush presidency a failure and to defeat him in 2004 "by whatever means necessary."

In the process, they've managed to undermine voter confidence in our election system to the degree that the State Department has asked the Europeans to monitor this election for fairness. They've managed to convince voters that the election isn't fair because the voting machines are suddenly too complicated for old people and minorities.

There have been endless stories about Florida this year and how to avoid a "repeat of Election 2000" by improving the voting system.

While nothing is idiot-proof, old people and minorities managed to elect Bill Clinton twice using the same equipment. It didn't need to be overhauled until it somehow misfired and elected George Bush instead. No matter how many times they recounted, George Bush still got more votes than Al Gore. Therefore, there must be something wrong with the voting equipment.--Hal Lindsey

Dave Dahl denounces Fitzhugh’s attack of Republican voters

Dyersburg, TN- Today, Republican nominee for State House District 82, Dave Dahl, denounced a flyer distributed by Democrat State Representative Craig Fitzhugh that attacks Bush voters and mocks those who are mentally challenged (flyer included). “Hard-ball politics is one thing and everyone expects tough battles, but using those who are born with mental disabilities for political fodder is disgusting,” said Dave Dahl on Monday from his campaign office in Dyersburg.

The flyers have been distributed for at least 2 weeks from State Representative Craig Fitzhugh’s campaign office on the town square in downtown Ripley, which also serves as the Kerry-Edwards campaign headquarters. Dahl said, “At first I really did not believe that Fitzhugh and the Democrats would stoop to such gutter politics, but then people started bringing the flyer to me at the end of last week. I was shocked and disgusted.”

Dahl said, “In my first campaign against Mr. Fitzhugh two years ago, the Democrats conducted a negative telephone poll on my then five year old adopted daughter because she was born in Texas and not in Tennessee. I guess I should not be surprised that Mr. Fitzhugh and his crowd would attack Bush voters and call them ‘retarded.’ This is how the Democrats do business.” Dave Dahl continued, “The single minded plan for Mr. Fitzhugh and the Democrats in Tennessee is to attack Republican voters, attack those supporting Republican candidates and to ignore the real issues of the day: jobs, prescriptions drugs costs, education, security at home and taxes.”

“This kind of reckless disregard for those who suffer from mental disabilities is much larger than any state representative race. This act is so atrocious and indecent that my campaign will be sending a copy of the Fitzhugh flyer to the United States Special Olympics Committee, the Special Olympics International Group and state and national advocacy groups who work with and support special needs children and adults,” said Dahl.

Dahl concluded, “My heart goes out to the millions of families who have children and loved ones with special needs. To have their family members mocked in this manner is inexcusable and wrong from any perspective. These kinds of issues cross all political and social boundaries. I call on Mr. Fitzhugh to issue a public apology.”

Yeah! You pachyderm types ought to feel real good about yourselves right about now. Very classy.

If you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that she's being who she was, she's being who she was born as.--John Kerry from last nights' debate snoozefest.

I, for one, could not believe my freaking ears. I immediately reacted with revulsion to that comment. You know, like 'Dork! You're way out of line here!' Whatever. Yet another sterling example of just how low Democrats will go. Apparently, they'll sink to new lows quite often.

Then Lynne Cheney got in the act last night:

Allright. She said her piece and I really thought that would be the final word from any of the participants. You would think, heyna? But no!

She's overreacted to this and treated it as if it's shameful to have this discussion. I think that's a very sad state of affairs… I think that it indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences… It makes me really sad that that's Lynne's response.--Elizabeth Edwards

Are you funking kidding me? Who in the muck let her off of her leash? The condescending holier-than-thou bit player. Who the funk does she think she is? She married some cutthroat ambulance chaser and she's saddened for Lynne Cheney? She should have never taken the chocolate cake out of her mouth long enough to speak.

Dick Cheney's daughter's sexual preference should not have been brought up last night. But, much to my amazement, it was. Kerry is a cad. Edwards is a lightweight. And Elizabeth Edwards is a fool who does not belong on the national stage. Let it go, fool. There's no sense compounding one outrage with another.

SO, IT'S ABOUT JOBS, IS IT?

OK ... so you've fallen for the Kerry line that George Bush is the first president in 72 years to actually lose jobs during his first four years in office. Fine ... believe that if you want to. Please, though, try to come up with a cogent and reasoned answer to this question if you can. The Bureau of Labor Statistics issues a document entitled the "Employment Situation Summary" every month. The most recent survey was released at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2004. This survey indicated that there were 139.5 millions working during September. That, my friends, is a record. Never before have 139.5 million Americans had a job during any survey period.

Here's your question: If a record number of Americans were employed in September of 2004, how can it be said that jobs were lost under President Bush? Come on, folks! Tell me! How do you lose jobs and end up with a record number of Americans working?

Is that true??? Every single time John Kerry opens his flapping yap, another million or so jobs were supposedly lost according to his fuzzy math. But this is the first I've heard of what Boortz has to say.

'Nightmare' Election Scenario in Pennsylvania

Pity Pennsylvania. First a court decides that Fred Flintstone and Mickey Mouse can't get Ralph Nader on the ballot, and now armies of lawyers are poised to invade the state after an Election Day everyone predicts to be messy, perhaps even worse than Florida in 2000.

"On Nov. 2, Pennsylvanians will use five voting methods: paper ballots, punch cards, lever machines, optical-scan systems and electronic systems. Of the half-dozen swing states still considered battlegrounds, Pennsylvania has the most eclectic distribution of voting systems," the New York Times noted today.

"Combined with highly decentralized election rules, the patchwork of voting technologies could make a broad, accurate recount difficult in Pennsylvania, whose 21 electoral votes could be crucial to either presidential candidate."

After massive vote fraud in Philadelphia and other cities, Al Gore supposedly won Pennsylvania in 2000, but polls show President Bush even with Sen. John Kerry.

"If the race gets any tighter, we could have a nightmare scenario," said G. Terry Madonna, director of the Keystone Poll.

"If it comes down to 10,000 votes, what do you think is going to happen? Lawyers on both sides are sharpening their pencils and are poised to litigate," Madonna warned.

Wonderful. So Pennsylvania might come off as the biggest horse's ass since Florida 2000? Great. Combined with all of the tasteless and creative electioneering the Dems have been up to of late, and the fact that they have attorneys poised and ready to level charges of voting fraud before the polls even close, this ought to be a circle jerk of historic proportions.

If Kerry wins, everything will de deemed to have worked perfectly fine. But if Bush wins, let the shameless games begin.

Mayor Thomas Leighton has initiated legal action in an attempt to remove Robert Kadluboski and his company, City Wide Towing, as the Wilkes-Barre City's exclusive towing contractor.

This development has the potential to quickly eclipse brouhaha status and denigrate into a full scale donnybrook real quick like.

Shoot! I can't find my city council meeting schedule. When is the next meeting scheduled for? We might not want to miss this one.
