This year, in addition to the National B autotest, we will also be running a Clubsport Production Car Autotest in parallel with the main event. For those of you who don't know, this is an autotest where you have to have a navigator, and you don't need a competition license to take part. This is an ideal way to try out autotesting for a minimal cost.
As part of The Abingdon Motorsport CAR-nival Weekend, a large element of the event is based around raising money for charity (The Army Benevolent Fund & The Stowford House Rehabilitation Centre) and because of this we have incorporated a small contribution into the entry fee of the event. However we would welcome any additional contribution you may wish to make and, in addition, we will also be donating a large proportion of any profits made from the event towards the funds.
Throughout the weekend, there will be a number of other competitive and social activities taking place including a stage rally on the Sunday and a number of fun activities on Saturday evening (including a grass autotest and barbequeue). So why not make a weekend of it. Camping and caravanning will be available for Friday evening and for the less hardy, special accommodation rates are available locally (Contact WRA Ltd on 01904 471944 with your requirements).
As is always the case, a good number of marshals will help the event to run smoothly, so please encourage your friends to come along to support you. We will be providing a lunch pack to all those marshalling for at least half a day.
Windsor Car Club Ltd. will promote a National B permit autotest on Saturday June 10th 2000, at Abingdon Airfield (MR 164/476003). Windsor Car Club Ltd. will also promote a Clubsport permit Production Car Autotest at the same venue using the same tests on the same day.
The meeting will be governed by the general regulations of the Motor Sport Association Ltd. (incorporating the provisions of the international sporting code of the FIA), these supplementary regulations, and any written instructions the organising club may issue for the event.
The event is open to competitors (whether Entrant or Driver) holding a valid MSA Competition Licence appropriate for the event, and who are fully elected members of clubs who are affiliated to either:
