Coach Jenny Garrity has been voted ACC Coach the year. In her third season she led the Wolfpack to a school record 16 wins and their highest regular season finish ever in the ACC. If the Wolfpack advance to the NCAA Regionals in Knoxville, it will be the first time the women's tennis program has had a team advance to that level.
Blair Sutton also was honored. She became the fourth Wolfpack player in history to be named to the All-ACC team. Sutton had a 6-4 record at number 1 singles against ACC opposition this year. Her record at State puts her among the top five players to have ever competed for the team.
Wake Forest ended the Wolfpack's hopes in the ACC tournament with a 5-0 shutout. Despite the loss this has been a record breaking year for the Wolfpack and all the players and coaches are to be congratulated. Now the Wolfpack will wait to hear if they will be competing in the NCAA regionals.
