180 Proof is a band from Huntsville, AL....It consists of 2 Guitarist JUSTIN MABRY and RICKY RICE, a bass player BRYSON AUST and a drummer ANDY VAUGHN all sing except for Bryson. 180 PROOF started one day when Justin asked Andy if he wanted to start a band and they were planning on praticing at Ricky house, they figured they might as well let Ricky play guitar too, since its kinda hard to have a band with just a Drummer and a Guitarist. Justin and Andy had been in another band called "NEGATIVE FEEDBACK" but they broke up in a short period time. They wrote about 3 songs and then called it quits. So when 180PROOF first practiced they used those songs. After writng a few original songs they decided it was time to find a bass player, the thought for a while and then decided that Ramesh could play bass since he was so damn good, but Ramesh was already in 5 or 6 bands, so he was pretty much occupied. So decided to look for another bass player, this process took a really long time. After about a month or so they decided to contact BRYSON who used to be in a band with RICKY and ANDY that was completely unsuccessful. So they thought they would give it another shot and invited BRYSON to come play bass with them. At the beginning BRYSON sucked but after one more practice learned all of the songs. 180 PROOF is still making beautiful music in Ricky attic and are planning on puting out a Demo Tape soon.
