X-Pac vs. The Acolytes
X-Pac along with Kane started a feud with The Acolytes in the weeks leading up to Over the Edge 1999. The feud heated up at the May 30 Raw when the Acolytes defeated X-Pac and Kane to take the tag titles. Shane McMahon hit X-Pac with a chair as he was going for the Bronco Buster and almost knocked him out. X-Pac was dazed and the Acolytes hit the reverse 3-D finisher. The Acolytes took the titles that night only to lose them to the Hardy Boyz, win them back, and then lose them back to X-Pac and Kane on the August 9 RAW. Kane and X-Pac eventually lost the belts, but not to the Acolytes. The feud was heated as the WWF tried to rebuild the tag division even though the titles were not involved. At No Mercy Kane, X-Pac, Farooq, and Bradshaw fought a four corners elimiation match that saw X-Pac taking the victory.
