I just loved the costume competition, and if I ever go to another convention, I'm definitely dressing up! All of the little kids were really cute, but the one little Gabrielle was just adorable, with her chubby little tummy and her little staff. She was the winner in the children's division, with the little Callisto (who had a really awesome costume) coming in 2nd. The nice thing about the competition is that everyone who enters gets a prize no matter what. The bad thing about the little Gabrielle winning is that I think she was too young to even understand or appreciate it. Oh well, she was just really darn cute ;)
In the adult's division, the Xena from the alternate universe and a Gabrielle won. Their costumes were good, but they won because they were doing some good acting and such. Honestly, I don't think you have much of a chance of winning if you're dressed as Gabrielle or Xena, since basically everyone else is too. If Julia and I go to another convention, we already know what we'd dress up as (and I won't tell, since I think it's a really good idea, and we want to win ;)).
The competition went on while Karl and Claire signed autographs, and at one point a guy dressed as Cupid came on stage, and Karl jumped up and autographed his chest, saying that he should definitely win. Nobody can ever say Karl isn't interesting ;)
