Description:
The first picture is of the beach near the pier--about a 3 minute walk
from the Civic Center. Eventually, most of the Xenites ended up there,
despite the cold.
The second is of me, Caitlin. Now, mind you, I hate having my picture
taken, so this is a rare shot ;)
The third is the *one* working elevator in the Pacific Shore hotel.
It is probably one of the scariest elevators I've ever been on, and
whenever possible we used the stairs--"for emergency use only" they said
but pretty much no one used the elevator unless absolutely necessary.
The fourth is of our companions on the trip, George and Edna. They're
sitting on the official shirts from the convention, which we didn't buy
since they cost $20 a piece and the sizes were all pretty large. Oh well,
I guess I bought enough other stuff to make up for it. Still, I would
have liked to have had one.
The fifth is looking at the Civic Center from our hotel room. It's not
as big inside as it looks outside.
