The Age of Adequacy

Adequacy is the hallmark of great humor...or maybe of adequate humor. And, what is more adequate than the Random Game?

So, let's begin with the list of the most adequate players of the past week.

For you AOL 4.0 users, don't you find it interesting how whenever you run it it brings up this little screen that says:

Loading AOL

Initializing AOL

Starting AOL

Are they trying to trick us? Or are they doing synonym exercises? Or is this some sort of stupid way to make it look like there is actually some sort of progress while you are loading the program?

Apparently, scholars/scientists/whathaveyou can't agree on whether the millenium begins with 2000 or 2001... so now the world ends on Jan. 1, 2002, just to be safe.

You'll not so quickly notice that there again is no 30-token winner. It's not because no one was adequate enough for the prize, it's because I wanted to give more of you a nice pat on the back. . . .And I'm shy, so I need to use the tokens as the means to your ends, I mean, that end. 15 tokens to these guys:

This guy sounds a lot like my friend Damian. Except for the "shut yer cakehole" part. He would say "stop your somnolent soliloquy, you sophomoric solenodon." He's a poet. He gets away with these things.

Some-body chose a bad HMO.

It is one thing to know that you are adequate, and it is another to be told, "Yes. You sir, *are* adequate." Yes, Atani, SoupEater, and Bumppis, you are adequate. 20 tokens.

I'm going to get a tattoo of a nipple, right between where my other two nipples are, but maybe down slightly. Then I'm going to get the tattoo pierced. And then I'm going to regret having sone that, and I'll never take my shirt off again.

Not anyone looking for tokens, that's for sure.

RiottAngel, I'm not sure that would hurt anyone's chances. . .or do you mean saying it publicly?

I've never awarded tokens to a Spice Girls post, so here's a first. But, I don't remember ever awarding tokens to a Viagara post, so I think the integrity of the RG's adequatiqualtism will remain in tact. 15 tokens:

Funny how they chose Heckler's as their warm up point.

That is all. Oh, and for the astute among you, you may have noticed that adequate isn't quite the superlative I made it out to be. Others, the one or two other NewsRadio fans
out there -- who coincidentally would also be RGers, will notice that it was all highly TAGgable. I'm not good at displaying obvious tributes, so this obscure one will
have to do. I'm sure it wasn't as funny coming out of my mouth, but what is?
(Please, don't send me an answer to that.)
