THE ANSWERS!

Again, thanks for filling out our form!

Before we go on, let me remind you--so far, this has cost you NOTHING.   LOTS of what we're sharing has cost many beginning actors LOTS of money.

So, that's what we are doing on these pages  --   sharing.   It's something we learned about this business a long time ago. You have a choice.

1. You can be a back-stabber, deceiver, a real sleeze ball, you know,  a person that plays 'head games' to get the part...keeping everything a secret, dishing other actors so they can't get cast...OR

2. You can choose to  NETWORK, SHARE, PASS ON what you learn.

and if you choose number 2,   you know what happens?

The more you share, the more you know...

the more you know,

the more you grow!

the more you grow

the better you are...

and the better you are,

the more likely you are

to get the part!

So...

with all that in mind...forgive us for making our point at your expense...and the hard way.

In the Acting BUSINESS,

there

are

NO

Short-CUTs.

you wanna be a star?

you gotta do your actor's homework...

you gotta keep asking questions,

pay your dues,

be prepared,

and most of all,

you must persist!

and remember these 2 little rules:

1. There is no justice
No matter how much you train, study, prepare and persist, some times it is the pretty face that gets the part.

2. There are no rules that can't be broken.
I cite any number of daytime SOAP OPERAS  or, for you older students, "Dukes of Hazzard, Part II"...and you know what, these shows are/were very popular!  AND those actors (loose fitting term in some cases) are WORKING and getting paid lots of money! Some of them never took a class, never trained, and just showed up for an audition with a pretty 'face'--you know which ones I'm talking about!

Good!  It worked for them.

Don't you count on it.

(By the way, there are some VERY TALENTED ACTORS on the soaps--most of them have been around a while...paid their dues, and have been rewarded for their talents --I admire and respect many of them--they are truly working actors!)

While you're waiting for your big break, it wouldn't hurt to do some of your actor's homework!  And I don't mean polishing up your acceptance speech for the Oscar!

So there!

Good luck!

And by the way, why don't you CHECK OUT "How To Break Into Show Business Without Breaking Your Heart!"
