Short Cuts

The purpose of this survey is to collect information from you
about your acting background, process the information,
and then give you a list of  short cuts that are designed
special --just for you!

This survey is divided into the following sections:

Fill out the information in each section as requested.
Then at the end of the form supply your name and
contact information, and submit the form. You will be
returned to a page with your personalized actor's
short cuts and will receive an email
confirmation message from us shortly.

SECTION A -- Actor's Homework

  1. How much time per day are you willing to spend
    working on your craft?

  2. Television.  It's been called the boob toob and a
'vast wasteland',but  it can be a great place to
study other actors at work...some good,
some really terrible. Of course, it's not a
requirement, but when you do watch, you should
be PAYING ATTENTION.   How many hours
of television do you watch per week:

    None 1-5 hours 5-10 hours

    10-20 hours More than 20

  3. Reading is important.  Reading scripts, reading
biographies, reading novels.  How many books
have you read  in the last 6 months?

None 1-2 books 2-5 books more than 5
  4. Having a role model is important.  Choosing
one who is a professional -- not just a pretty
face -- is also important.  Choose wisely.
Who are your 'role models' in the acting
business  -- who do you want to be like?
    Name #1
    Name #2

SECTION B -- Training

  1. Training is something successful actors never
STOP doing. They continue to train even when
they are successful. If you have had an acting
class or workshop, how do you rate it?

Haven't had one yet  Poor Fair

    Good Excellent

  2. What do you think is the most important word
    on this list?

  3. Successful actors know about a lot of subjects
--not just acting. Other than acting, select the
subject areas you are most interested in:

    History
    None-watching movies
    Art/Music
    Psychology

SECTION C -- Assets

Evaluate your assets.  Look at yourself in the
mirror and really be honest.  Which of these
assets do  you belive you have going for you?
If there are things about you that could be
IMPROVED: different hair cut, straighter teeth,
a slimmer package (body)-- then you might
need to consider making those improvements!

If the answer is none, you might need to make
a career change. Check all the assets you
believe you have in your favor:

talent good voice
personality willingness to learn
(good) attitude good face/body
cash family support

Experience is important, but not always! Even
Shirley Temple started with NOTHING on her
resume. It's not how old you are,it's how
believable you arefor the part, no matter
what your age.
  1.
    What is your age?
  2. What do you think your age range is?
    BE REALISTIC!

Please enter any additional comments about your
experience/desire to be a working actor.
