Chapter 20: The Visitor

With a startling jolt, Taylor snapped into a different atmosphere and observed that he was in a very strange place. As his eyes grew accustomed to this new change, he realized he was actually in a large, glass, bubble. A large, unbreakable glass bubble. Inside were various cells, which looked like a prison. He watched as the surface of the bubble turned a murky brown, almost black color. Then a small light filled the area and Drusilla stepped in front of his cell. "Pretty neat, huh?" she asked him.

"It would be pretty if it stayed clear," he observed somewhat distantly. In this bubble, he floated over the skies and could see down into the earth, and all around him. "What about airplanes and stuff? Can they see us?"

"No, for a couple reasons. Although we seem relatively close to the earth, we are much farther away than you think. The other reason - well it's hard to explain, but it's like we are in a separate dimension. A totally different world. A dream world." she said.

"You know, you seem so nice. You don't seem like the evil person that you are. Why are you like THAT when you can be a much better person?" Tay asked very curiously.

"Taylor, this is my destiny. I don't like it, but it's what has to be. I have my assignments, and I must fulfill them regardless of my emotion at the time. It's a job, and I have to do it. I'm a very nice person, but when I mean business, I mean business," she said, sadly.

"Alright, I understand that, but why is this all happening to me?" he asked.

"No particular reason. There are others like you. Not an overwhelming amount, but some similar. You're so vulnerable, innocent, and pure. I see things you can't. I have the eyes of a spirit, and I can see a bright aura around you. You are wholly a pure person. At times you can become dim, but deep down...you were meant to be an angel." she told him, as she made a chair appear for herself. Then she continued. "A very, very long time ago, I was human. This was centuries ago. I, however, messed up my entire life and afterlife, as well. I was a murderer. I killed people who had what I wanted, and if I couldn't be happy, then I would kill them. It was a jealousy thing. Now I'm paying for it. I work by the hands of the devil. Its my job to seek people like you."

"What good is that?" he interrupted.

"You won't understand this completely. Basically, I have to remove as many possible "good spirits" from this world as I can. You were supposed to die in the accident. I was already dead. Then, if everything had gone according to plan, I was supposed to keep your soul prisoner for eternity, so you could never be free. You instead survived, so I have to do things a little bit differently," she said, and her calm expression suddenly turned to one of pure hatred. Her whole demeanor became evil. "Maybe it's better this way. I may be able to kill 3 birds with one stone...possibly more," she laughed.

"What are you going to do?????" he asked frantically.

"Everyone on earth will think you're back to normal. You'll be the normal Taylor to them, until I get into swing of things. I'll be in your body, babe. Your whole family is like you. Especially your two brothers. I'll get them. My mission has been completed, but with this, my power will be even greater. There's nothing you can even do about it, JORDAN! Your brothers are dumb, I've seen them. Kiss them goodbye!" she cackled.

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?! YOU WANTED ME AND YOU GOT ME! DAMNIT LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!" he screeched.

"Why do one when I can do three? This will REALLY benefit me, Tay. You don't understand how happy he'll be! I may do a few other things while I'm on this mission," she grinned.

"You WONT get away with it!" he yelled bitterly.

"No? Tell me why not? Is there some sort of...witness? Listen sugar, as far as everyone can see, you're going to be back. But the accident caused some sort of an attitude change. Don't worry, it wont take long. I'll let you and your brothers stay together once I take their lives. But hey, I gotta get going. OOOOOOH IM SO EXCITED!!!!" she yelped and disappeared.

"MAN!" he screamed and slammed his body weight against the iron bars. "Of all people, I have JUST the luck."

"It will be okay, Taylor. Please don't cry," a feminine voice whispered.

Slowly, Taylor turned to the direction the voice came from - directly behind him. There he saw a girl who was probably his age. "How...how did you get...I mean you weren't...and now you're...ohhhh this is too much..." he said turning a ghastly white color. He looked like he was going to pass out right on the spot. Slowly, she made her way over to him, and rested her palm on his forehead softly.

"Sh. You don't have a fever, that is good," she said, and as she lifted her hand, Taylor felt fine.

"Now...how did you get in here???? Or should I even ask? Who are you? Did she get you too?" he asked her all at once.

"Whoa, slow down. Have a seat, I'll explain everything," she said soothingly, and gestured for him to sit on the bare floor.
