Penny's Story

"It was a hot day of spring in Philadelphia, on that day I went down comely, when I suddenly heard my mom saying: "What have you done, Penny?", Penny was our family dog. although we said she was a Boxer dog, she was a little small for a Boxer, and her face wasn't the Boxer's type. She couldn't step on one of her legs, after an accident while she was a puppy and looked like a duke when she walked on. She was a special dog, although she had few weird behaviors, she always like alcoholic drinks. At the parties we have at our house we have to tell the guests not to leave the cups on the floor and watch them while they were on the low table. The site of a drunk Boxer is a site that you can never forget.

I went into the kitchen, the drama scene. Penny was scared in the kitchen's corner, her face were to my mom that stood in the middle of the kitchen. Usually my mom was the most gentle persons I know. But in that few times she could have become the most angry person you could imagine to your self. Usually when she was angry she would have thrown things at the victim, until today she used buckets, melons, ice-cream plates and more harmless objects. On that day, she have hold in her hand a key holder, and throw that onto the dog. "Bad Dog!", she yelled, and while she practiced on her kids all that time, she hit the dog. When the keys have jumped on her back and over, Penny made a hurt sound. My mom got out of the kitchen angry, I guess to take care of what Penny have done and while she went out she said something about the dog's parents and about the few days she has to live.
I'm really finding it hard to be hard with dogs, and after I didn't know what was the thing that Penny have done, I went to Penny and touched her head. She pushed her head against me, and looked at me with her deep brown eyes. "Lets take you out of the fire range, come to my room", I told her, and clapped on my leg to show her to join me.
As we passed the kitchen on the way out, Penny went through the key holder in a big round, as big as she could. As we got to the kitchen's door, she stopped, looked back on the keys and for a minuet looked like she was thinking. Then went fast to the middle of the kitchen, took fast the keys and ran out of the kitchen. With a big surprised, I saw her go to the couch, put the keys on the ground and easy push it under the couch, away from the eye of site. Then came out from behind the couch, and with a pleasant look on her face came to joined me to my room, then her movements were lighter and happier."
