The Silent Scream

It is growing inside of me. I can feel it hot and rising like a volcano

I tense my body, pressing my lips together

I dare not speak, dare not let this feeling show in the expression of my face

Dare not let my inner feelings show

I hold in the forbidden

Keeping it a prisoner

In return "IT" is my prison

It is ugly

Like a wildfire it rages through my body

Leaving behind the vast wastland

That once was my soul

It has a name

It is called "The Silent Scream"

I know you may love the one who is abusing you

and many think  that seeking help will end  their relationship.

This is not always the truth, actually it rarely is if both of you want help.

Abusers usually abuse the ones they love most

Abusers are usually victims themselves of   abuse.

We can change this cycle
