Pretty pretty Paris Hilton was photographed wearing a dress from the Spring collection! She bought it at Sugar
in Los Angeles http://www.sugaronlabrea.com/
I think she looks completely lovely, I'm thrilled!!!
Over the last few years I've been growing a small fashion design company - it started with cotton Tee Skirts and embellished
tank tops that I sold in a small online boutique. Since then I've taken on a partner, gotten my husband involved in
the business side and found some amazing people to work with - as a result the line has continued to grow.
You can find King William Clothing in some of my favorites boutiques in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississipi, and California.
You can check out the goods at www.kingwilliamclothing.com
Dallas photographer Bode Helm took our look-book photographs. Models were Rachel Fox (pictured
here) and Shelbi Metheny at The Campbell Agency, we did half the day in studio and the other half at a country house owned
by the photographer. Sara Domi at Toni&Guy did hair & makeup, shoes were by Nicole Brundage, (beautifully made
shoes, and she's young and from San Antonio) borrowed from LeeLee. This is one of my favorite pictures from
the day.
Launching a fashion line has been more exciting and more hard work than I ever dreamed! I feel so lucky to have
the support of a great group of people:
William ~ My husband, financial backing, overall business, and encouragement.
Jennifer Madsen ~ Partner, she manages sales & the accounting from Atlanta, and is a fantastic resource
for design ideas.
KK McKenzie~ Reps the line and also serves as creative inspiration - (I only work with girls who looooove fashion!)
Tara Pettinato ~ Assistant, could not live without her! She is currently opening her own online shop
carrying independent designers, www.indiecouture.com
Angie Ramirez~ Patternmaker. Hot pink hair, 3 adorable kids, and great energy, I adore her!
Phillip Alexander~ Patternmaker, sample sewer, design consultant. Also an incredible singer, he'll be leaving me
soon to go on tour to promote his album...I don't know what I'll do without him!
Cesar Lopez~ Sample and production manager- The line is cut and sewn in-house, Cesar's experience and knowledge
make him invaluable - he's also a patient Spanish teacher.
I am also working with my dear friend Brian on his line of men's & women's shirts, Waxahachie Dead Ringers.
Brian is the creative force, while I manage production and distribution. Brian is also working on developing a
line of super-high end leather jackets that will be hand-made in Argentina.
Both King William and Waxahachie Dead Ringers apparel are manufactured right here in Austin.
In the first sample of the women's jacket Brian asked me to design for the leather line.
