Raymond Gossett, Cartersville, Ga. began reenacting in 1997 with Garry Alexander's 9th Ga. Light Artillery Company A, remained with that unit until it's dissolution. Joined Howell's Battery immediately thereafter. First "saw the elephant" at Gettysburg in Georgia, and has served in the following positions: #1 ( ram ), #2 ( worm ), #3 ( prick ), #4 ( prime ), powder monkey, limber guard, and presently serves as gunner with Howell's Battery. Artillery pieces served: 12pdr. Coehorn mortar ( 9th Ga. Co. A ), 12pdr. mountain howitzer with pack carriage ( 9th Ga. Co. A), 12pdr. mountain howitzer with prarie carriage ( Owen's Battery ), 3" ordnance rifle ( Cherokee Artillery ), 12pdr. Napoleon ( Howell's Battery ). |

Jeff Cranford - Sylvester, GA. Enlisted in Havis' Battery (Co. A, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art.) at Westpoint, GA in March, 2000 and remained with that unit until it was broken up in May, 2000. Enlisted Anderson's Battery (Co. B, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art) at Olustee in February, 2001. Enlisted in Howell's Battery February, 2002. First event: Old Clinton 2000. First event with Howell's Battery: Tallasee, 2000. Ordnance served: 10lb Parrot Rifle (The Orphan), (Rainmaker), and (with Jackson's Flying Artillery), 12-Pdr Napoleon (Old Thunder), original 1864 3-inch Ordnance Rifle (Leon Lovett), 12-Pdr Field Howitzer (Jackson Flying Artillery)
