John Day - Columbus, GA.  Enlisted in Havis' Battery (Co. A, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art.) at Andersonville National Historic Site and remained with that unit until it was broken up in May 2000.  Enlisted Anderson's Battery (Co. B, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art) at Olustee in February 2001.  Enlisted in Howell's Battery February 2002. First event:  Flat Rock Park, Columbus, October 1997.  First event with Howell's Battery:  Tunnel Hill, 2000.  Ordnance served:  3-inch Parrot Rifle (The Orphan),  2.9-inch Parrott Rifle (Savannah), 10-Pdr Parrot Rifle (Rainmaker),12-Pdr Napoleon (Old Thunder), original 1864 3-inch Ordnance Rifle (Leon Lovett's)   

Charlie Choate

Charlie Choate - Phenix City, AL.  Enlisted 10th Ga. Volunteer Infantry in 1986.  Tranferred to Havis' Battery (Co. A, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art.) October 1992 and remained with that unit until it was broken up in May 2000. Enlisted Anderson's Battery (Co. B, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art) at Olustee in February 2001. Enlisted in Howell's Battery February 2002. First event with Howell's Battery: Tunnel Hill, 2000. Ordnance served: 3-inch Parrot Rifle (The Orphan), 10-Pdr Parrot Rifle (Rainmaker),12-Pdr Napoleon (Old Thunder), original 1864 3-inch Ordnance Rifle (Leon Lovett's), Confederate 12-Pdr Field Howitzer, 12-Pdr Mountain Howitzer.

Doug Burger - Warner Robins, GA.  Enlisted in Havis' Battery (Co. A, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art.) at Macon in September, 1996 and remained with that unit until it was broken up in May, 2000.  Enlisted Anderson's Battery (Co. B, 14th Battn Ga. L. Art) at Olustee in February, 2001.  Enlisted in Howell's Battery February, 2002. First event:  Gettysburg in Georgia, 1996.  First event with Howell's Battery:  Resaca, 2000.  Ordnance served:  3-inch Parrot Rifle (The Orphan), original 1824 32-Pdr (Fort Jackson), 2-inch Parrot Rifle (Rainmaker),12-Pdr Napoleon(Old Thunder), original 1864 3-inch Ordnance Rifle (Leon Lovett), 12-Pdr Field Howitzer (Jackson Flying Artillery)

Henry Kelley - Bio. circa 1996 Oct. Joined Havis Battery Co A 14 Th.Ga. Batallion Light Artillery .In 3 plus years service, saw hard times and heavy fighting. Ord. served The Orphan a 10 Pdr. Parrott Rifle. Was the wild rover with me pards, saw action with Andersons Battery Co. B 14th. Ga. Battalion Ltght Artillery, Ord. Served, 10 Pdr. Parrott Rifle. Saw action with Ferells Battery Co. C 14th.Battalion Light Artillery, Ord. The Widow Maker 10 Pdr.Parrott. 12 Pdr.Cohorn Mortar, At Gettysburg fell in with Jacksons Light Artillery.  Ord. 10 Pdr Parrott. Joined Howells Ga. Battery with loyal service..Ord.12 Pdr. Napoleon,The report of Ole Thunder will make the hair stand on your neck.

Henry Deramus

Henry DeRamus - Kennesaw, Ga. -Enlisted in 9th Battalion Georgia Artillery Company A Leydens Battery. First Battle at Euharlee 1997.  Remained with the 9th until it was dissolved in 1999. Purchased 12lb Napoleon along with Bob Crowe and Barry Colbaugh and formed Howell's Battery. Served on occasion with: Cherokee Artillery 3" Ordnance Rifle. Rainwater's Battery Mountain Howitzer. Pulaski Artillery 3" Ordnance. 12th Ga. Havis' Battery Parrot Riffle. Seldons Battery 3" Ordnance. Played the part of James Longstreet in the documentary "Adam Killogg's Diary" and was an extra in the movie "Sweet Home Alabama" Currently, Captain of Howells Battery.
