*Special thanks to Larry for these pics of his Welti until I can get some pics of my own. Please check out his Collectible Camera home page in the links section at the bottom of this page.
Body
35mm folding camera
Has a very pirmitive frame counter. You must release a little lever to advance to the next frame. At the same time, the frame is counted so you know how many pics you have taken.
Small leather bellows
Takes standard 35mm film
Tiny itty bitty leeeeetle viewfinder window -- I have pretty good eyes and I have a hard time composing with it.
Viewfinder has simple parallax correction -- flick a little lever and the viewing angle changes. It still involves a lot of guesswork
Lens
50mm focal length f/3.5 (I think)
German Schneider Kreuznach Xenar
According to the Schneider Kreuznach Serial Number List, the lens (and presumably the whole camera) was built between November, 1936 and December, 1937.
Shutter
Compur shutter
Speeds from 1 sec to 1/300
There is a secondary spring for high shutter speeds.
