JANUARY 2, 2001 Attendance: President Joe Lightfoot, Cheryl Barr, Sheila Pringle, Brenda Henry, Bob Wood, Gary Marshall, Paul Moore, John Peddlesden, Glenda deRaaf, Brian Sheffield, Steve Dainard, Steve Hicks, Peter Struthers, Rob Gould, Paul VanHecke, Rick Insley Groomer Report - All groomers are prepared for the upcoming season. Five club members each have one of the Club’s groomers in their care. The track truck requires ownership and insurance. Trail Report - Some trails along Airport Road have been blocked off as a result of people dumping garbage on the land. The landowner has no objection to the land being used by snowmobiles, however, a solution to the problem must be realized. Motions were made and carried to:
President’s Report - Joe asked members if there were any recommendations as to making the meetings more enjoyable. i.e. having earlier meetings, having a meal before meetings, refreshments, etc. New Business - Landowners concerned about the repercussions of Bill 101 can contact Sheila Pringle at 476-4111. The OFSC has issued a landowners information sheet. President Dennis Burns says there will be a landowner recognition program in place as soon as possible. Events - Sheila Pringle is planning a women’s ride for every other Sunday during the snowy season. The plans are tentatively set as a mid-morning relaxed ride along one of the four major routes in order to familiarize women with the trails and encourage their participation in the club. The next meeting will take place at the snowmobile club on November 7 at 7:30p.m. |
