M2A1 Bradley Fighting Vehicle (D26) 2/D/1-41INF, 2AD(FWD)

Crew:
  • 2LT Larry Chaney (Commander)
  • SGT Darryl Stickler (Gunner)
  • SPC Alan Briggs (Driver)

Briggs' legs were shattered by the tank round(s) that struck his vehicle. D26 was destroyed along with D21 on 27 Feb 1991 by friendly fire from 1-34 AR, 1ID. Murray was in the driver's seat of D21 and was killed when tank rounds struck his vehicle.

The silver material on the ground is the remnants of the Bradley's aluminum hull, which partially burned/partially melted. Most of what remains are sections of the Bradley's spaced steel and laminate armor. The barrel of the 25mm gun can be seen pointing up at the right.
