Sydney Ferries - Manly Ferries

Manly ferry "Narrabeen" is in rarely photographed territory for this class west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge as it proceeds empty to the Balmain Shipyard as the Jetcats take over the Manly service at 7pm. 29 December 2000.
Manly ferry "Narrabeen" gives me the first indication of rough seas near Sydney heads as viewed from Manly ferry "Queenscliff", 7 May 2001.
Manly ferry "Freshwater" is opposite Sydney Heads and is not therefore protected from the winds and the waves from the open sea. These photos from Manly ferry "Queenscliff" show the trouble that "Freshwater" is having getting through the water. 7 May 2001.

This sign fences off the front deck of Manly ferry "Freshwater" prior to departure from Manly, 7 May 2001.
Manly ferry "Collaroy" appears to be undergoing a trial after repairs near the heads. The ferry ran aground recently in this area just prior to arrival at Manly. This photo was taken from Manly ferry "Freshwater", 7 May 2001.
