Information

Miyavi was the youngest member of the indie rock band named Du' le quartz. At that time he was called Miyabi, which means "Elegant". His flamboyant charm and skill as a musician is what earned him a loyal following. Sadly, Du' le quartz broke up in September 2002. Some fans took comfort in the fact that Miyabi was going solo. He appeared on TV with his new name "Miyavi", announcing the release of his first album, gagaku. When he released his first video, "Girls, be Ambitious", a lot of those Du' le quartz fans backed away, shaking their heads in disbelief. Indeed, Miyavi and Miyabi are very different from one another, visually and artistically. Though there was not an entirely large amount of room for him to express himself as a guitarist with the band, it seems Miyavi's new outlet has allowed him to explore every end of the music spectrum. While many of his old fans were let down and disappointed, an army of new fans found their way to his work and devoured it lovingly.

In his solo work he seems to enjoy his youth and natural charm to the extreme in eccentric music videos and photo shoots. He's had every color hair to go with his sometimes space-aged (sometimes circus-themed) costumes that are nothing like those he flaunted when in Du'le quartz. He's released a variety of videos, singles, and two albums so far. While the music on his first album is basically within the same genre range, comparing any of those tracks to 'Ashita tenki ni nare' from the 'Jingle Bell' single is like comparing winter to summer. Likewise, 'Shindemo Boogie Woogie' has a much different feel to it than 'Pop is Dead'. The point? Miyavi doesn't see the need to limit himself to a certain mold when he writes music. And this observation is not limited to mood. It involves instruments, vocal range, presentation, and just about everything else. He creates music that is acoustic, melodic, catchy as hell, and sometimes just plain noisy. There's something for everyone, if you're willing to give him a try.

There are many theories behind his name change but most of them are based on the idea that he has felt personal growth, and is no longer the same person he was when he was with Du' le quartz. Others say it's because he's just crazy and likes to do things that make people wonder what's going on inside his head. I've seen a lot of disappointment in the fact that he is no longer nearly as visual as he used to be. I guess him dressing up as a Geisha or a vampire isn't cutting it for those fans. Miyavi himself has said it's kind of strange not being as visual as he used to be. Before his first live he wasn't sure what to do with his extra time, since it used to be consumed with hours of makeup application and hair styling. He did say, however, that he does still practice visual appeal and he will continue to entertain his fans this way.

Miyavi's solo personna is classified by his incredible camera presence, an upper body littered with tattoos (he claims each of them represent something that has occured in his life), his ability to make bizarre dancing look good, and the fact that he smiles with two rows of teeth. Currently his favorite things to do are eat chicken and sleep, with occasional visits to the dentist [/humor]... A knowledge of Miyavi's dental history may be helpful in understanding his complaints in that department. Miyavi spends plenty of free time on his computer updating his "diary" (which is not actually a diary but a place where he can write messages to fans), and reading emails from his loyal followers. He asks them to send jokes and pictures when he needs to be cheered up. He thanks them for being there. He tells them he loves them, no matter what country they're from or who they are. He's never afraid to get up close to fans during lives, holding their hands and even reading their fanmail on stage (those I know who've been able to witness this personally all raved the same way: Miyavi loves his fans, and his fans love him unconditionally).

As I said before, he's bound for magnificant things and has accomplished so much in such a short time that a lot of us are still wondering if it's all too good to be true. I think all of our mouths hung open when he played along side PATA, Ru-ku, Chirolyn, and Shinya in October 2004, and before that when he released his own movie. He shows no sign of slowing down and with the adoration he has for his fans (which he makes known constantly), we're showing no sign of giving up on him.

What I wanna say about Miyavi

Hehe....no worries, no bad things about him..hu hu...I know what to do..ok... u know...I like to explore new things, new singers, any new stuff which relate to music of course. hehe.. so in April 2005, I discover this guy called Miyavi...all da way from Japan too...Hrmm...actually I have no idea who this artist was, my net friend told me about him! Thanks pal ~! *you know who you are*... hehe...

So I started to look for stuff about him! Well, what do you know...

His music style is something I never heard before...Wow! Soemthing New to me! and in fact, he is indeed has made a wise decision to leave the band! coz he is the "Money tree",ya get what i mean??? In fact,the most precious one, can make a whole lot of money for the company !! hoho...you can tell by looking at his nose! If you know how to read people's face! hehe... His nose is ********** haha...anyway,one word ~ beautiful ! a good one! that's why he is da "money Tree!" ~!!!!!

And he got all the styles (fashion,make-up,style,whatever.) that the teenagers would dream of to be right?? (*refer to guys,not girls..hehe...*) !! haha....i mean who else's looks are more stylist and rockish like he does right?? He is one of them...a very outstanding one indeed~!!!I think he represents the Japanese guy fashion and the looks I think...yeah,positively sure!! haha ....>_<

Hrmm.....at first, i think his music is too noisy,maybe me still not yet 100% into rock music yet, but after a while ! you know what,I think his music is just fine! at least for me!! haha....I like his MV especially!! What attracts me the most would be MV + great music! so MV comes first!! haha....Any songs without any good MVs will not attract me longer! haha....got it????

uh....and one more thing! Holy Jesus, his guitar skill is just amazing ! I have never seen any guys play guitar like that before!!! wow! at least for me is just amazing!! Even though I have no idea on how to play a guitar, (*just keep on imagining that I can play...hehe..*)...well...nah...not for me.hehe...what I say is that he is for sure one of the professional guitarist that I have seen so far!Impressive!! hehe.. Why? Coz I was speechless & my jaw drops when I saw his clip where he plays the guitar LIVE ~!!! You'll get what i mean if ya have watched it too~! anyway,one word "HEBAT!! applause!"

And last but not least! You will never know his true personality in the MV unless you watch his clip outside the MVs such as his LIVE messages video to fans and all that stuff! he did a lot of video messages to his fans not only in Japan but also around the world but da in Japanese! T.T that's why I have no idea what the hell he is talking about,but da by reading his facial expression, i think i kinda understand what he is trying to say to his fans!! haha...

I think he really cares for his fans! coz from what I have read from other forums,they said that Miyavi will read fans' mails or whatever messages and he did reply to some of them in his diary i guess??? haha...or just read them in his video message LIVE! wow! that is just totally awesome! coz he sures have a good interaction or communication with his fans! *not like other bands/singers who think they are the best and do not bother about it.....phew...! s*** ...haha.....pardon me...I didnt say anything right?? no...ok....where are we now?? hrmmm..

And he is a very over-active and funny guy !! haha..i have watched his VIDEO message for his fans before! and I can't believe that he is totally a different character outside the MV! In MV he acted very cool & naughty! and outside the MV, he is CRAZY if ya know what i mean?? ^_^ active, funny guy and naughty too !! hahha....I think that makes him what he is and what he LIVE for! haha..cool ~! one word to describe him, "CRAZY_N_FUNNY_GUY" ~! That's one word ~!!! hehehe...

Alright! That's all what i wanna say about Miyavi ! a very elegant guy! hehe...i guess I'll keep an eye on his MV !! haha.....elegant MVs ~!

Well, recently I just checked out this group and I would like to say I like their performances, and they are from Johnny's Junior in Japan. If you know Kinki-Kids, TOKIO, V6, NEWS, Ya-ya-yah, Arashi, surely you have heard about this group - K.A.T-T.U.N ~!

Actually they haven't debut any Singles or CDs yet, but still they have gained so much fame lately ~! They have been featured in most of the Jpop Idol Magazines lately,so maybe you can check it out sometimes in the bookstores nearby =p and they also have many FANS around the world ~! They can dance and perform well I suppose~!

They have performed in many Johnny's concerts, espcially in Tackey's concert.

Have you heard of the JDrama called Gokusen?? yeah,they gain so much fame from there, Kamenashi and Akanishi are starred in that drama. And yeah, these two guys are more popular among the members. So I only know these two guys' name in the group, the rest I have no idea,maybe you guys can check their info in the search engine or something. You can get their info easily because they are that famous nowadays,okie????

I heard that they are going to debut this year,but dunno when actually. Coz all of their fans are waiting impatiently there~! heheh.....My favorite song from Kat-tun is the song sang by Kamenashi called Kizuna~! It's a very nice song indeed. The song is also featured in the Gokusen 2 drama. On the other hand, the other song sang by them called "Arigatou no Uta" is also a nice number. All are LIVE performances, no singles yet~! okay?? haha...

And from my "artistic perspective" or you would say forecast is it??? haha..anyway, If Kamenashi and Akanishi form their own group,I'm sure that would be PERFECT ~!!! coz KAT-TUN was formed because of these two "value-added" in the group in my own view.And I hardly see any "extra" potentials for the other members,but maybe later their potentials will show up i guess..but for sure now are Kame and Jin ~!! coz I think only these two are very OUTSTANDING & good-looking ~!!! you see??? okay?? no offending.....just my own point of view...~!! coz they have the look u see??

In any entertainment business, "Look" I think is important for sure~!! If you wanna become that fame, "looks + lucks" are important in Johnny's entertainment,coz i know all are good performers~!!...But there are too many of young Johnny's and you can see NEWS?? another Johnny's Jr. group.....and that one got a huge members~! I'm sure one day the manager is going to separate them~!!!hehehe....

Coz only the BEST will survive~! I guess they are still very young~! and they have more rooms to improve and to grow~! so all the best to them~!

But I would go for Kamenashi Kazuya and Akanishi Jin ~! their future is very bright though~!!! You'll know what i mean if you really know them ne???? =p
