— Sadly, the historical Red-Theme packaging of the Original Series 6 set was not used for the chrome release, instead it was replaced with an overall blue theme. I'm stubbornly keeping the page with an OS6 retro red.

— Strangely, Topps numbered the new-artwork subset of Chrome 5 as #207a—216b, and had Chrome 6 (& OS6) start off with #207, so there is a duplication and overlap of Numbering for the two releases.

— The Reverse Artwork for cards #217, #224, #245 show new artwork by artist BRENT Engstrom rather than their original artwork backs by JAY Lynch, that featured Junkfood JOHN & JOE Blow, Large MARGE & Vile KYE, and Mixed-Up MITCH & BONNIE Bunny, respectively. The same new reverse card artwork can also be located on cards #252, #253 & #254, on the correct new artwork cards.







— Instead of an advert, used as the Announcement to promote the Chrome 4 and Chrome 5 releases, Topps took to social media on August 30, 2023, simply stated, "A fresh coat of chrome to better accentuate the grossness of GPK Original Series 6", and simply showcased a hobby box image.

— The same product also dropped on the Fanatics alternate website, Backstage Merch (A Fanatics Experience), which was created in October 2023. This new branding and design for Fanatics was first used on 04/18/2023 and the trademark application filed on 10/04/2023 (Serial number: 98208846).

— The Puzzle Border of Dyna MIKE, which previously stated, 'HERE IS WHAT YOUR COMPLETED YELLOW BORDER PUZZLE WILL LOOK LIKE:' & 'COLLECT ALL 21 CARDS OF PUZZLE F.', has been changed to a green border and simply states, 'HERE IS WHAT YOUR COMPLETED PUZZLE WILL LOOK LIKE.' & 'COLLECT ALL 21 CARDS.'



— Card 224a MONTE Zuma has been rechristined, with the new MICHAEL IDOL Nomenclature. Card 244b Muddy MAUD has a slight change and is missing the 'E' in MAUDE. Both changes can also be located on the checklist;

— Due to the additional new-artwork subset, the Checklist is updated and now has a blue outline and new title, 'GARBAGE PAIL KIDS 2023 - CHECKLIST', instead of outlined and written in the original red lettering, which stated, 'GARBAGE PAIL KIDS - 6TH SERIES CHECKLIST'.

— Collectors can pull Autograph Cards signed by veteran GPK artists TOM Bunk & JAMES Warhola, but not JOHN Pound, and by the new artwork artists, Simko, Engstrom, Gross & McWilliams. Topps has also introduced a special autograph superfractor card to this release.



— Topps posted their 2023 GPK Sapphire Edition #4 box online on December 20, 2023, which included 32 trading cards, 8 packs per box & 4 cards per pack, featured artwork from the OS6 set, and clost $109.99—limited to six per customer. Topps also posted '2023 GPK Sapphire Edition - UK' product on their UK shop at a later date, which cost £105.00—with no limit # per customer listed.
